The tape cutting tools can be used with either paper or plastic tape, punched or formed pockets, and any cover tape. This model cuts 8mm wide tapes only and includes an alignment block with 2 sets of locating pins; one for 1mm pitch (8mm wide tape and 0201 and below pocket sizes) and one for 2mm pitch (8mm wide tape and 0402 and above pocket sizes). The unique zig zag cut not only assures an accurate cut but also assures the tape alignment when using splices without alignment tools.
