LOCTITE® SI 598 is a metallic black, 1-part RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) oxime silicone paste sealant. It cures at room temperature on exposure to moisture in the air to form a tough, flexible, silicone rubber gasket. Its thixotropic nature allows for easy flow dispensing, while preventing the migration of liquid product once its applied to the part. It has excellent resistance to motor oils and can withstand operating temperatures from -54 to +260°C. It resists ageing, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking.
