Tripp Lite SU6000RT4UTFHW 6000VA / 6kVA / 5400 watt on-line, double-conversion UPS system provides complete power protection for critical servers, network, and telecommunications equipment in a 6U rack/tower-compatible configuration. It features full-time active power conditioning that delivers continuous dual-conversion AC output free of voltage fluctuations, interruptions, and line noise. A fault-tolerant auto-bypass ensures equipment stays powered during UPS overloads or internal faults. The 4U UPS power module and included 2U low-voltage transformer install in just 6U with a max depth of 21.8 in. / 55.3 cm. The unit maintains full-time sine wave output within 2% of 208/240V and 120V nominal at 60Hz, even during brownouts as low as 100V and overvoltages up to 300V.

A detachable back panel PDU with manual bypass switch allows hot-swappable UPS power module replacement with no downtime for connected equipment. Battery-independent restart ensures automatic UPS power-up without user interaction after long outages, even with expired batteries. Runtime is expandable with optional BP192V12-3U external battery packs, and all external battery packs are field-replaceable and hot-swappable.

The double-conversion design converts raw AC input to DC, then re-synthesizes it into a pure sine wave AC output, offering protection from harmonic distortion, electrical impulses, and other complex power issues. An optional economy mode increases energy efficiency, reducing BTU heat output and lowering power costs. It also provides network-grade surge and noise suppression for sensitive electronics.

Monitoring is supported via built-in RS-232 and USB ports, with an HID-compliant USB interface that integrates with power management features in Windows and macOS. The PowerAlert monitoring software (free download) provides real-time site power data, UPS status, and supports safe system shutdown during extended outages. Optional network management cards are available. The Emergency Power Off (EPO) interface allows shutdown in emergency situations.

The front panel LCD and LED readouts with scroll controls enable full visual monitoring and configuration of UPS settings. The display panel rotates for rackmount or tower installation. The unit has hardwire input and hardwire UPS output, with 1 L6-30R, 8 5-15/20R, and 4 5-15R outlets.
