Overview

The Triplett IRTC500 Compact Thermal Imaging Camera is designed for preventive maintenance and troubleshooting across a wide range of applications, including electrical and HVAC systems, mechanical failures, water intrusion and moisture detection, insulation gaps, faulty windows or doors, automotive diagnostics, and other scenarios where hidden leaks or heat spots need to be identified.

Equipped with a 2MP visible light camera, it offers multiple viewing modes—Infrared, Visible Light, Picture-in-Picture, and Fusion. In Infrared mode, the device features a 160 × 120 pixel (19,200) thermal sensor with a thermal sensitivity of ≤50mk (NETD). It provides center spot readings, three manually selectable spots, and automatic hot/cold markers, all displayed on a 2.8" (89mm) focus-free color screen with a resolution of 320 × 240.

Additional capabilities include Auto Fusion, which automatically blends infrared and visible images, a user-friendly menu available in six languages (English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Chinese), a built-in clock and calendar, and an auto power-off function with disable option. The onboard gallery lets you view videos (.mp4) and images (.jpg/.HRI) directly, or transfer them to a PC via USB or WiFi (Android OS only). The camera also supports live video streaming to your PC.
